The Hatter

I've been working on some illustrations for a Lewis Carroll biography and this weekend, I managed to work on some more tests. Here are a couple different styles directions for The Mad Hatter...I liked the manic qualities of these.

They're both great, but there's something about the 2nd one that I'm more drawn to.

Have you heard of American McGee's "Grimm?" You should check this out, I feel like you might like the style (though the concept art looks better than the game itself I think).
